Factory Automation: Control and Anomaly Detection

Research on capturing the state of equipment and wiring in manufacturing sites, leading to anomaly detection, maintenance and automated inspection. We have studied anomaly detection that models interactions between devices, such as vibration and heat, and image-based inspection of wiring and parts using deep learning. Using real images and 3D CG, we have tried to inspect for wrong connections, disconnected terminals and broken wires, and we are exploring methods that can also handle small-lot production and complex equipment.
